Initial appointments at Kantoko are booked by contacting our support team by email. Before we can schedule your appointment, we need to receive and review specific referral information, tests, and assessments.
Please note that completing these steps does not guarantee acceptance as a Kantoko patient. All information is reviewed by our clinical team to ensure we can safely and appropriately provide care as a telehealth-first ADHD service.
What we need before we can book your initial appointment
Before your appointment can be booked, all of the following must be completed and received.
1. Medicare Details and Address
2. Referral
3. Required tests
The following tests must be completed prior to booking:
- Blood pressure
- Pulse
- Weight
- ECG, including an image of the graph

Blood tests:
- Full Blood Count (FBC)
- Electrolytes, Urea & Creatinine (EUC)
- Liver Function Tests (LFT)
- Thyroid Function Tests (TFT)
- Vitamin B12 and Folate
- Iron studies
4. Required assessments
- All six required questionnaires completed in the Kantoko platform
- ASRS-O, completed by someone who knows you well
- Verification of Childhood Symptoms (VCS): Completed by someone who knew you prior to the age of 13.

Clinical review and next steps
Once all required information has been submitted, your referral and assessment materials will be reviewed by our clinical team.
Completing these steps does not automatically mean your care will proceed with Kantoko. Acceptance is based on whether we can safely and appropriately support your care within our telehealth-first model.
If we’re able to proceed, our scheduling team will contact you to arrange your initial appointment. If we’re unable to proceed, we’ll let you know via email
