Travel Letter Requests
If you are travelling within Australia, you do not need a travel letter for your prescribed medication.
Travel letters are only required for international travel, as some countries require written confirmation of prescribed medications.
Planning international travel
Medication regulations vary by country, particularly for stimulant medications. If you are travelling overseas, we recommend that you:
- Check medication import requirements for your destination
- Plan ahead and allow enough time before departure
- Travel with an adequate supply of your prescribed medication
Requesting a travel letter (international travel only)
If you are travelling overseas and require a travel letter, you must submit your request through the Kantoko platform by logging into your account. Requests cannot be accepted by email or outside the platform, as submitting through the request form ensures your clinician receives the request directly and helps avoid delays.
Timeframes and requirements
- Travel letter requests must be submitted at least 7 days before travel
- We cannot guarantee completion of last-minute requests
- All required details, including travel dates and destination countries, must be provided to prevent delays
Submitting your request with sufficient notice helps ensure your travel letter can be prepared before your departure.
