We understand how stressful and disruptive it can be to lose your medication. This article explains what steps to take and what to expect.
❗️Important: As your stimulant medication is a Schedule 8 (controlled) medicine under Australian law, there are strict requirements around prescribing and replacement. Early replacements are usually not possible and must be assessed carefully in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
What to do
Please follow these steps as soon as possible:
- Report the incident to police.
- Obtain a police event number and report confirmation.
- Submit a Medication Refill request in your Kantoko dashboard. Enter your police event number, upload your police report confirmation, and add a brief summary for your clinician in the additional information field.
What happens next
Once your medication refill request and documentation has been submitted, your clinician will review the situation and determine whether a replacement prescription is appropriate.
Please note: Approval is not guaranteed and must align with state prescribing regulations.
These requirements aren’t about mistrust — they’re part of the legal framework for Schedule 8 medicines in Australia. We will do our very best to support and guide you through the process and ensure the review is handled as carefully and promptly as possible.
