You can request a travel letter for your prescribed medication directly through the Kantoko app.
We recommend submitting your request at least two weeks before your departure date to allow time for review.
How to request a travel letter
- Open the Kantoko app.

From the dashboard, swipe across the shortcuts and tap Travel Letter.
- Enter your departure date and return date.
- Under Destination, enter the country you're travelling to. If you're visiting multiple countries, include each country and the dates you'll be there.

Tap Send Request.
- Once submitted, you'll see Request Received! Tap Close to finish.
What happens next?
Your request will be sent to your clinician for review. Travel letter requests can take up to 7 days to process.
You'll receive an email once your request has been approved or declined.
You can check its status by selecting Track My Requests from the dashboard shortcuts.

Medication regulations vary between countries. Kantoko does not verify the medication requirements of your destination.
Before travelling, check the rules for your prescribed medication in every country you're visiting. You can find general guidance on the Smartraveller website.
